Helping Hand From Blaze
Each year the Burlington Blaze Volleyball Club supports a charitable organization in the Burlington Community during the Christmas season.
This year, the players donated to "Children of Christmas Past", an organization which gathers the names of Halton residents who are in nursing homes, retirement homes and those getting homecare in order that they may receive a special gift from someone in the community. Through the generosity of the players, Blaze was able to purchase gifts for three seniors in our city.
As well, at the annual Blaze Holiday Festival, a gathering of players, coaches and their familes, the yearly Food Drive for the Burlington Food Banks also took place.

Blaze Supports Make a Wish Foundation
Riverdale Community Centre, in association with "Make a Wish Foundation", is trying to help make a wish come true for Shane. Shane is a little boy in Montreal who is terminally ill with Leukemia. His wish is to be remembered forever in the Guinness Book of World Records. Shane wants to receive the most birthday cards ever recorded for his 8th birthday. He's not asking for a large screen tv, or a trip to disneyland, just cards.
The Blaze Family collected 387 birthday cards which were sent to Shane for his 8th. birthday. Thank you to all of our players and their families for supporting this worthwhile cause. Blaze has helped to make Shane's wish come true. Click here to track Shane's progress.
