Coaching Experience:
I have been coaching one sport or another since high school including basketball, swimming, track & field and badminton. I have developed a passion for two sports though, volleyball and softball. I started coaching softball in 1995 with house league and working my way up to rep ball. I also volunteered to coach softball in the elementary schools for the past 5 years. I started coaching volleyball in 2001 in the elementary school system then proceeded to OVA in 2004. I have also volunteered as an assistant coach at Assumption High School in Brantford. I spent the first 4 years in the OVA coaching with the Brantford Tornadoes. The last 2 summers I have coached at Camp Madawaska along with some National and University coaches. I am pleased to be returning to Blaze for my third year.

Career Highlights:
Although having won several medals in both volleyball and softball I feel my coaching highlights come from my players. When I see them accomplish new things, especially after working so hard, it makes me feel very proud to have been a part of that. When I hear from former players how much they appreciated me as a coach and how much they learned and had fun, I feel privileged to have contributed positively in their lives.
Coaching Philosophy:
My coaching philosophy is to share my passion for volleyball and pass on my knowledge to help younger players gain a passion for the game as well. I want to be able to teach players team work, respect, pride and ways to increase their self esteem that will not only help them in sports but in life.
